"Splittin' at the Seams" marks our fifth year as a band and is our gift to fans and family. We chose this title because of how well its theme ties in with where we are going and where we have been as a group. First and foremost, the title reflects the fact that this album is long overdue! It also relates to our recent success and growth as a live group. Maybe, most importantly, it speaks to our identity as a band and the path our music has taken us on. Our focus has always been on being innovators and not historians. This labor of love, while grounded deeply in Roots Music and Americana, expands on tradition and breaks some rules. These songs were crafted out of our life experiences and written and played as honestly as possible. We didn't really give thought to how they would sound live, what kind of chops we would show off, or if we were playing blues or rock or funk...we just wanted to create something that we could love and grow from - and fans of our music could stand behind.
