The success of your nonprofit organization often rests on the strength of your board members. This workshop is designed for administration, staff, board members and volunteers. The topics covered will include establishing your executive committee, identifying and cultivating potential board members and determining what skillsets you need on your board. 

Facilitator: Sandra Woods

Volunteering in the community first brought Sandra Woods to the nonprofit world as a program volunteer and then as the Executive Director of the Pocatello, Idaho YWCA. Before retiring two years ago, Sandra spent six years with the Greater Mankato Diversity Council as the Education Assistant.

She is currently participating as a board member for two nonprofits in Mankato and recently, finished a 6 year term as a board member for Twin Rivers Council for the Arts (Chair of the Development Committee.) She has served in a multitude of roles within the board structure including, chair, vice chair, past chair and development. Sandra has a passion for nonprofits, both at the volunteer and staff level.
