LUNCH AND LEARN

IT TAKES COW CHIPS TO MAKE DINNER

Friday, February 16
12 – 1 pm
Dale Redlin, author, Presenter

Born and raised in rural South Dakota and living through the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, this Midwestern writer, storyteller, farmer, and retired pastor, will talk about his craft and do some readings from his most recent books. Though he hails from South Dakota, Dale studied and received degrees here in Mankato. He is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato State University, and Immanuel Lutheran Seminary. Retirement from pastoral ministry has provided more time for writing poetry, music, and books. Listen to some of Dale’s stories, and if you like, have a look at some of his books which will be offered for sale. (Interesting fact: Dale’s cousin is the well-known artist, Terry Redlin. Some of Terry’s signed prints can be found on the third floor of the VACC!)

Cost: No charge for members; $5 for non-members. Attendees are welcome to bring their own brown bag lunch. Coffee will be provided. Call the VACC at (507) 386-5586 by 2/15 to register.
