The four performers of the Heartland Marimba Quartet come from four states: Iowa, Illinois, Texas and Arizona. The Heartland Marimba Quartet is a subsidiary of the Heartland Marimba Festival organization, based at the Heartland Marimba Quartet Academy at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point.

All of the members are accomplished and award-winning solo players in the percussion field.
