By submitting your event, you're doing your part to let your fellow citizens and visitors know about what's happening in Greater Mankato. We are pleased to provide a FREE way for you to tell about your event.
The following submission guidelines ensure this website will continue to be a valuable resource for all who visit GreaterMankatoEvents.com.
Deadline: Events should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start date. The earlier the better so that people can plan ahead to come.
Turnaround: In most cases, events will be reviewed within 48 hours of submission.
Qualifying Events: All events and things to do must be open to the general public and be of interest and value to a significant segment of the general public. Member-only events will not be accepted. Sales and events whose primary purpose is to promote a business will not be accepted.
Events vs Things to Do: In general, we will consider something a Thing to Do if it happens over multiple weeks (more than 3) and each individual occurrence does not vary in description. Also, an attraction like The CityArt Sculpture Walk that runs from May to April each year would be a Thing To do.
Note: Live Music at your venue that just lists live music every single week, will be a Thing To Do. But if you post the Band and a photo or video of a band each week, then that would be an Event since it's a singular thing that someone might seek out.

Location: Events must take place within a 60 mile radius of Greater Mankato. Please contact us if you are interested in an events calendar like this for your community.

Guidelines for Pre-Approved Greater Mankato Events Calendar Contributors
If your business or organization frequently hosts events, you may want to apply to be a Pre-Approved Contributor by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Normally, when you enter an event, it goes to our site Webmaster who reviews it and puts it live on the site within 48 hours. However, if you are a Pre-Approved Contributor, your event will be poste as you enter it, the minute you submit it (the Webmaster will not review it). If you need to change an event as a Pre-Approved Contributor, you can also go in and make edits to your event immediately at any time.
While being a pre-approved contributor does give you the opportunity to post your events in real time and make up-to-the-minute changes, it does put the responsibility on you to ensure your information is appropriate, accurate and meets the Submission Policies of greatermankatoevents.com. Please note that your business or organization name will appear after "Submitted by:" on each event you submit.
The Webmaster of greatermankato.com is responsible for approving Pre-Approved Contributor status and may revoke it if the site Policies are not observed.
