Xavier Tavera's exhibit, "Borderlands," will run August 27 – September 17 in the Conkling Gallery. There will be an Artist Reception in the Conkling Gallery following his Artist Enrichment Lecture. The lecture will take place in the Ostrander Auditorium on September 10th starting at 7pm.

About the Artist:
Xavier Tavera is a photographer whose work deals with latino/latinx identity and race. He was born in Mexico City and has been based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1996. He teaches photography at the University of Minnesota, where he also recently completed his MFA. He exhibited his series “Veterans” at the Minnesota History Center in 2017, and has shown at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Goldstein Museum of Design, Minnesota Museum of American Art, and many other venues nationally and internationally.
