Celebrating our 35th gallery season, the Carnegie Art Center, located in Mankato's Historic Carnegie Library is the region's largest dedicated visual arts gallery with rotating monthly exhibitions,artist studio rental space, education classes and a unique gift shop that connects the community to the work of local and regional artists. Our Gallery and Gift Shop hours: Thursday, 1-7 Friday, 1-4 Saturday, 11-5 The Carnegie is closed one week each month for gallery installation and January for building restoration projects. Beginning June 2016, handicap accessible construction.
Carnegie Art Center: All Over the Place, mixed media work by Jane Horton
Opening June 6 and running through June 22, 2019 in the Carnegie Art Center's Cook Gallery, All Over the Place, an exhibition of mixed media work by Jane Horton.
Mankato mixed media artist Jane Horton shares familiar moments and places referencing Mankato and North Mankato structures, people, and history.
Graduating from Montana State University with a degree in Graphic Design she most recently earned a BFA from Minnesota State University, Mankato (2010).
Jane was a 2018 recipient of an artist grant provided by the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, with funds provided by the McKnight Foundation.
The public is invited to the opening reception Saturday June 8, 7-9 pm.
