Celebrating our 35th gallery season, the Carnegie Art Center, located in Mankato's Historic Carnegie Library is the region's largest dedicated visual arts gallery with rotating monthly exhibitions,artist studio rental space, education classes and a unique gift shop that connects the community to the work of local and regional artists. Our Gallery and Gift Shop hours: Thursday, 1-7 Friday, 1-4 Saturday, 11-5 The Carnegie is closed one week each month for gallery installation and January for building restoration projects. Beginning June 2016, handicap accessible construction.
Carnegie Art Center: Deliquescent: Fluid Motion, paintings by Lori Wolf
Opening February 7, and running through February 23, 2019 in the Carnegie Art Center's Rotunda and Fireplace Gallery, "Deliquescent: Fluid Motion" paintings by Mankato artist Lori Wolf.
The science of color theory, the weight of paint, and heat, chemically connect to manipulate and create a fluid motion in this exhibition of acrylic paintings.
Graphic designer and Art instructor Lori Wolf earned her BA From Montana State University, Bozeman MT in 1978, and currently works out of her studio in Mankato, MN.
The public is invited to the opening reception Saturday February 9, 7-9 pm and a gallery talk on Thursday February 21, 6-7 pm.
