Registration is open for the 7th Civil War Symposium, “Civil War Transportation and Communication” which will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 9 am – 5 pm at the Sibley Park Pavilion in Sibley Park, 900 Park Lane in Mankato. The entire event is held indoors.

Special Guest Speaker is Stephen E. Osman, manager of Historic Fort Snelling for three over decades and author of Fort Snelling in the Civil War. There will be presentations, costumed interpreters, artifacts and exhibits, Civil War era music, panel discussion, Symposium Shop and more.

Advance registration is $25 for adults and $15 for students (17 and under) and includes lunch. Advance registration deadline is March 18, 2019. If space is available, $30 at the door and does NOT include lunch. All proceeds from the symposium benefit the “Boy in Blue” Blue Earth County Civil War Memorial Project.
