Megan L. Schnitker, Lakota, from Rosebud Reservation will present a family-friendly presentation on Indigenous Culture including answering questions about history, heritage, and contemporary issues that you have always wondered about.

Megan is a member of the Mahkato Powwow committee, Indigenous People’s Day committee and also has her own non-profit organization Mahkato Revitalization Project that promote Indigenous cultural education to the community and surrounding area.

This program is free and open to the public and is in conjunction with our current temporary exhibit, Why Treaties Matter, from the Minnesota Humanities Center, the Minnesota Indian Affair Council and the Smithsonian National Museum of American Indians.
