"Dare to Scare" Musical Theater Festival
This Event Occurred in the Past.
MuTaCo is set to return on November 1-3, 2019 and will be held at the Grand Center for Arts & Culture (GCAC) in New Ulm, MN. This year’s Musical Tales Concerto theme is “Dare to Scare” with participants working on their scariest story yet!
MuTaCo is a unique, immersive opportunity for writers and musicians from the region to learn to collaborate in new ways to bring stories to life through words and music. Over the course of a weekend, teams of composers and writers will collaborate to create stories. Teams will rehearse with a director to present and perform their stories at the end of the weekend.
MuTaCo staff included Mike von der Nahmer as artistic director and Anita Prestidge as director.
The festival will cost $300 for the weekend and scholarships are available to those in need. Learn more about the festival and apply online at musicaltalesconcerto.org. Additional questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
