Our American Indian Cultural Events Group (AICEG) would like to share an evening with you - please join us on SEPT 25, 4-8pm, Benson Park, North Mankato, for a presentation by Kade Ferris, author and Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and Archaeologist for the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, Red Lake, MN.
Kade will share the cultural practice of stories and storytelling to provide relevant information on the history, culture, and community of the Ojibwe and Dakota people of MN. Kade will also discuss the art of colorizing photos and how this art form can help revitalize and help teach about indigenous people.
Please bring a chair/blanket for sitting...we will have hot drinks to keep you warm during this beautiful fall event!
4-6pm: Meet & Greet with Kade - informal, question/answer session about his books, indigenous culture, and his colorizing photo art. Kade will also be signing books for the indigenous cultural practice of a give-away (free and $1 raffle to support AICEG events)!
