Eide Bailly Online Webinar

This is an online webinar series, not an event at the Eide Bailly Mankato office.

111 S. 2nd St., Ste. 300

Course Description:
Everything you thought you knew about sales tax probably changed in the U.S. Supreme Court Wayfair decision. States are now permitted to collect sales tax from out-of-state sellers with no physical presence in their state, including remote sellers, online retailers, phone order retailers and inbound (foreign) companies. Many states have updated their economic nexus standards to expand their reach to taxing out-of-state sellers. Now, more than ever, businesses need to review their sales tax collection practices to remain in compliance for every state they’re currently doing business in.

Learning Objectives:

Define nexus and discuss its impact
Discuss how aggressive state expansions of sales tax collection requirements create filing requirements and risks for businesses working across state lines
Review the importance of staying in compliance and explore tools to help
