The Earley Center for Performing Arts is located in the northeast corner of the MN State Mankato campus. It is best reached by driving up Val Imm Drive from downtown or off Warren Street onto Birchwood from the east.

The University Contemporary Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25. The concert takes place in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave. The vocal ensembles are directed by music professors Dr. Douglas Snapp and Dr. Stephanie Thorpe, who combine their backgrounds in jazz, voice, and contemporary styles.

The concert features the Maverick Vocal Precision and Maverick Fusion singing groups performing a mix of pop and a cappella tunes. Maverick Vocal Precision caught the attention of the world as they won the “Aca-Idol” competition at the SingStrongNY a Cappella Festival at Adelphi University Performing Arts Center, Garden City, NY. The festival took place February 8-10, 2019.

The Contemporary Instrumental Ensembles, coached by Dr. Michael Olson, will perform a wide variety of pop/rock and contemporary styles.
